Hi, Im a car guy but never owned a Mitsubishi of any kind. Were looking at buying a 2003 Eclipse Spyder SGS Convertible for 3k. Wanted to know what issues to look for if we decide to go look at it, and what the pros here thought about the issues he mentioned it has, and how easy they are to take care of.

The only issue I have really is that it has high miles, about 200k. He said its his sisters car who was in college and drove it back and forth all the time, the college is a good bit of a drive. He also said the fuel filler neck leaks a little when filling the car.

It has a new paint job, and everything works fine. There is also one tear in both front seats. Easy to get seats for?

So, what should I worry about, and what should I look for? Thanks!

Forgot to mention it has the 4 cylinder and its an automatic. Says it doesnt leak anything, or smoke. No noises from motor and still runs strong.
