Loved this generation Eclipse since it came out. Thinking of getting another as Ive only owned 2 GS models in the past.

Test drove a Silver '02 GT and have a few questions.....when I started the car, it didnt start when I turned the key the first time, it started fine the 2nd time.....

While driving the car, it seemed to me at least, the engine ran a little rough. I know the engine on a car this age has typical wear and tear, but wanted to ask, any special tasks you guys would do in order to make this engine run a bit smoother?

My first basic thought was.....STP fuel system cleaner, new spark plugs, air intake change, new exhaust system ect. The engine did not make any tapping noises that I could hear. Just wondering what would be the first major replacement needed to be made on an engine this age? Thanks!
