timing belt for my 2000 2.4l

Default timing belt for my 2000 2.4l

any advise or tips for doing this? I prob. can do this in the blind but it's my first on this car. Since I'm new here I thought I'd consult the experts first
take care

Only advice i can give is make sure you get the timing marks perfect... if you dont you WILL destroy the motor. You dont want that.

you wont destroy the motor youll destroy your valves and potencially the pistons but not lickly. and again another thing I speak or in experience from haveing a T belt shred on my GS

I have seen some pretty ugly pistons after a miss alignment

its not likly though. I was going 40+ MPH and my belt shredded only had little figer nail indents in the pistons. the chances of it cracking them is not that high. TEs old TSi AWD slipped the belt and had the same result as my car.

well if your a few teeth off and you keep turning the key all its doing is wacking the valves every crank. Atleast on a shredded belt like I had pnce they hit the belt was off and turning over the bottom end would but not the top because it was not connected so the crank pully was spinning in the breeze
