Default Turn Signal And Headlight Switch

01 Eclipse---Is it hard to get the hole handle and switch off the steering column---Can't turn the headlights off---They are just staying on whether in on or off or with the key on or off---If I push on the lever towards the engine they shut off but have to hold it in that position-----Thanks

My girlfriends 02 eclipse had the same problem. I ended up pulling the whole lever off of a galant, which was the same style of the eclipse. The plastic piece covering the area just past the steering wheel pops apart, might be a couple screws. The turn signal lever is actually really easy to get off. Push a little button and it slides right out. I think I paid like $5 for the one from the junk yard, just make sure it's the same style as yours.

Thanks for the info---I was able to get a new switch/handle at the parts store at $100, (had no choice), and was able to install quite easily, (to my surprise)---I didn't know they were plug and play so I was invisioning a mass of wires etc to deal with---Anyhow it was the culprit and it's fine now----thanks
