My cousin accidently locked the keys in the trunk of her 2007 Mitshubishi Eclipse Spyder GT and she can't find a way to open the trunk. Does anyone know of a trunk release anywhere? If not does anyone know how she would have to get to the trunk?

 

should be an emergency release behind the subwoofer, but it requires the keys to operate it.

 

are the doors lock if not there should be a thing on the side to open

 

At the risk of sounding like a moron, I literally just figured this out like last week. If the car is unlocked, you can open the trunk by pushing on the black rubbery spot on the underside of the chrome-in-glass wing. It seriously took me a good 4 months to figure out that was there.

 

Yes. I just locked my only set of keys in the trunk. The lock smith was a dear and waited until he helped me. Go through license plate, unlock grammet (for hook-up) and stick finger through hole. The trunk release is on the left.
