New here 2011 Spyder sudden compression loss.
Hello lady and gent's. New here. I'm trying to help my 18 you sister in law out long distance. She has a 2011 Spyder with the 3.8L. she said she let her car sit for a week, and when she came back it started for a minute and sounded weird. So she turned it off. Went out today and it wouldn't start. So she called me. Over the phone the motor sound like it's not getting any resistance (compression).
I was wondering if there was anything else that could go wrong with these cars that could make it sound that way besides the timing belt going? And if not, do you know if these 3.8L are interference motors or not? Like is her valves done fore or does she just need a new belt and the timing reset?
Thanks for any help. I know this is kinda unusual. But it's what I can do living 300 miles away from the car. Lol
