Power Keeps Cutting Out...

Power Keeps Cutting Out...
I disconnected my amp/subs about a month ago. When I took them out, they were working properly, with no problems. I hooked them up this evening, and anytime I turn my radio up past 17, the power cuts, and resets itself. My battery light is on, and when I try to start the car, the battery is obviously stressing itself to keep the car powered. It'll turn over, but, again, I try to turm the radio up past 17 on the dial, and the tradio resets itself.
Now, does the radio have a mechanism to preserve the batteries life, or is my battery just crapping out? Thanks in advance for any help.

Can a mod please close this?
I went, and turned on my car, and it worked just fine...It kindda worries me, but I think it was just the battery. Thanks anyways.

RE: Power Keeps Cutting Out...
If you read my post from before, I said that the reason that your head-unit will cut off when your car is NOT running (when you have your key on ACC) is because your battery only pushes out 12V DC. When your head-unit is up too loud, it is trying to pull too much current from your battery and it automatically shuts off. If you have your car running, the alternator pushes out 14.4V DC and it can also push more current out then your battery. Current should be around .9 amps.
