can any one help me with my 99 galant the stereo disp reads off and it will no longer work, is there a code that I need to enter...plzz help

There is a code 4 digs. You have to remover the radio and give ser# to Dealer, he can get code. Probably your battery went dead, radio said code, someone tried to enter the wrong code 3 times and the radio locks and says OFF. To get it back to where you can enter the code you need to turn the key to "acc" with radio on, with off on the display. after around 1 hour it will say CODE again.
