Alternator???
I have a 93 Mitsubishi Evo 1st generation and everything has been working perfectly on my car until about 3 weeks ago. I left my car with a friend of mine while I was gone and asked him to turn it on every couple days or so just so the motor didnt sit there for too long and well after a week he drove it to a different parking spot and turned it off. The next couple days later he went to start it again and it wouldn't start so he tried jumping it but after he disconnected the jumper cables it died after about 20 min. Does this mean the alternator is bad? The reason I ask is because everything was working absolutely perfect right before i left, so i find it hard to believe that its the alternator, but since I don't know too much about cars I can't really say. Any ideas on how to check to see if the alternator is bad?

after you jump the car and the cables are unhooked check the voltage on the battery. If you get voltage lower than 12 volts (say 10 or something) then its your alternator. You can also bring the battery or alternator to autozone and have them tested. But i would put my money on the alternator
