I have a 2009 triton GLXr dual cab bought in Australia and imported into UK , i can not find a VIN stamp anywhere on the chassis, the only VIN numbers i can find are on the door posts,

any ideas?

According to the manual the stamp should be on the chassis leg and plates on the bulk head , not on mine, the main dealer i purchased it from says Thai built Tritons only have the VIN on the door posts, i find this hard to believe and i am sure when it goes for inspection next week for registration they won't believe it either, i am away from home at the moment and am having to guide my wife through trying to locate it,

so if you know the exact location of the VIN stamp or even if there is one at all would be great

 

probably on the door post or sills.





Although id be surprised if there wasnt one on the firewall, it may be a riveted plate (maybe drilled off) or actually stamped in.

If you have to re register it, they will give it a new vin if they feel the need.

 

there is a sticker on each door post with VIN but no actual stamp, I'm not home at the mo but i wonder if it is stamped behind the soundproofing on the bulk head? just hope it isn't a problem when it goes for its SVI ,when they bother to send me a date
