Battery
Why the f**k does my battery keep going dead??? This issue is driving me insane..'99 Eclipse GS-T...New Interstate battery last fall...I keep the car in the garage, store it in the winter and in the rain...I drove it more times this summer than what I have in a long time...Now it seems that if the car sits in the garage for like a week without me touching it then the battery will be dead and I gotta jump it to let it run...I do go out and fire the car up and run it for a while once or twice a week when it's in storage but I gotta jump it each time to get it to run...Why does it die all the time?? If I disconnect it for the winter, will that screw up my security system or computer or anything else?
possibility but with no lights on...I was wondering maybe my monstrosity of a stereo system would have any draw on it even when the car is off but I have a Stinger dry cell in the trunk as well..and no the battery is not junk..it's still new..I bet I don't have a 1000 miles on it yet..I thought about the Optima and was ready to purchase one but the guy at the battery place (who I know well) told me that I would be fine with the Interstate.

ya if your amp is still on even thought it's connected to the stereo deck, it's still drawing power from the battery, i had that with my other car, so when i put it down before i took everything out, i just tuned it off or pop the ground off.
