Exclamation Battery Light in Cluster doesn't turn on after Alternator shorted out LIGHT BULB OK!

Greeting to all in the Forums.

Car: 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage Technica 1.8L SOHC 4G93 Manual 5 speed Transmission.

Battery light and alternator were working just great, until I made the mistake to left the battery connected while tightening a nut that supports the alternator and touched the hot current cable in the alternator with the wrench and touched the alternator assembly at the same time and it shorted out causing sparks. After that I went inside the car turn ignition on and battery light was dead, however the car turned on. I then proceeded to check for continuity between the battery positive terminal and the alternator's hot wire, and there was no continuity. I proceeded to check the main fuses and the 100Amp blade type fuse was blown, so I proceeded to change it for another one I found at a Junk yard, I tested the new fuse and it has continuity. I installed the new fuse and there was continuity restored to the alternator's hot wire from the battery terminal. I turned on the engine and test Voltage at battery, the reading is giving me 13.5 to 14Volts when engine is running, so it seems that the Alternator is charging. I revved up the engine and the voltage keeps around 13 and 14Volts so that also confirms that the alternator's voltage regulator did not get damaged...

HOWEVER, Battery LIGHT in the Cluster is NOT turning on now, it was turning on before the short circuit so I thought it was the battery light bulb that was blown, and therefore I proceeded to remove the cluster I test the light bulb and it's good, I even changed the Oil light for the battery light and the one that was in the battery light now turns on in the Oil light position, but now the Oil light bulb doesn't turn on in the battery light bulb position, this means that somehow there is not Voltage or any signal reaching the battery light bulb position in the cluster anymore. What can be causing the battery light bulb to don't turn on and how can I fix it???

Thanks a lot.

Jos
