Default Brakes seized on on 2015 outlander

Wife brought the outlander (PHEV GX4H 2015) home today with smoke billowing out. Last 2 days it felt like something was binding as the engine was working harder than usual.

Let it all cool down, took it for a spin. After 600m I let it roll to a stop without braking, jumped out and burned my fingers off both front discs (rears were warm, but not as much). Brakes seem to be seized fully on.

2 days ago when i thought something was binding, I put it in neutral while driving and it seemed to roll along fine.

There was a tiny bit of a squeel from brakes on full left lock and every now and again a little squeel that would go away with a touch of the brake pedal. It got new brakes all around a few months ago.

Any ideas?

First guess is slide pins need to be cleaned and lubricated. Not a big job, plenty of YouTube videos. Though it seems kinda weird that both would stick at the same time.

You might get more responses in the Outlander thread, it seems to get more traffic.
