ok i have a 1995 Eclipse GS Auto 420a. about a week ago some girls in my car were distracting me and caused me to run into a swamp that had flooded the road. (it was about 5 in. of water and i was going like 45 mph.) ever sinse then the car will start up and run fine for about 15-20 min. and then out of nowhere the car dies. it does not sputter or anything. i have a snap on scaner and it shows no codes, says its ok to drive, after it dies i tried to scan it and it will not communicate with the car. ??? but later like 2-3 hours later it will start up again and do the same thing. it idels fine and no codes show up while its running. since the scanner would not communicate with the car i think it is the pcm or ecm or something like that. i have been towed 3 times i need to get this fixed.

 

its a sensor. Crank angle sensor is what im betting on.

 

i would think that would be able to throw the code though. Sounds your on the right track with the computer, or a wiring issue
