Default Car lags when i give it gas

Hey there, i have an automatic 2006 galant ES

It only happens from a dead stop. doesnt matter how much gas i give it, a little or a lot. Ill step on the gas and for 2 seconds nothing happens. and then it goes off like i just stepped on the gas. It doesnt happen everytime, but its frequent. No CEL's at all.

Anyone got ideas?

How many miles are on it?

What is the fluid level of your transmission?

23k miles.

tranny fluid was nice and clear looking as well.

decided to replace spark plugs anyway. seeing as the car came from NY, i wanted to anyways. so ill see if that fixes it.

Interesting.

Could be something as simple as an ugly looking air filter.

I just installed a Weapon-R intake kit on it.

I cant be 100% sure but i think i was having this problem in less frequency before installing it anyways. The air filter i replaced was near to perfect condition.

Is your throttle body all gunked up with carbon?

This is extremely difficult beings that there is no check engine light. Try resetting your ECU by removing the positive battery terminal for a minute or two.
