Eclipse wont run past 3000 rpm.

I have a 97 Eclipse gst that wont run past 3000-3500 rpms, once you get their the needle starts bouncing around. I think it has something to do with the fuel system but I dont know. Any help would be great.

check your intake hoses. make sure their on good. i had the same problem one of the hoses were loose tighten them up and work like new

Check for boost leaks.

boost leak wont stop you reaching the higher RPMs. Maybe reset the car and see what it does?
