Question Engine problem--help!!

I have a 2012 lancer ES, just broke 11,000 miles and is only a year old. The problem is when i start my car (it only does this when it wants to) the engine takes a long time to turn over. It struggles like an old car might do. Sometimes it sounds like its not going to turn over at all. The dealership mechanics and mitsubishi say its normal. The girl in the service dept, myself, and a few others i've talked to say a new car should not be doing this. I think its a lemon. Has anyone had this issue with their lancer or mitsubishi? Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!

so when you turn the key it just sits there nothing moves but if you keep holding the key after a while (10 minutes) the eng starts to turn over really slow like you are winding it up like a rubber band then it will turn over faster for like 5 minutes then it will start after 20 minutes of turning.... holding... winding up then it starts .... right ???
