Engine Swap I need help!!!
Hey Everyone,
I own a 03 galant de with a 4g63 2.4I SOHC engine. I have a 96 3000gt engine at my use to do whatever i want with it. I was wondering since the highest model of the galnt has a v6 in it. if it would be possible to mount the 3000gt motor in this car. no it is not the vr4 model, it is the ff wheel drive non turbo. i have the ecu and the entire car, just the tail end is completely crushed on it.
I need some help.
Thanks

just so you know you have a 4g64 not a 4g63. Im sure it would be posibble to fit that engine in there but somehow i doubt its gonna be a direct swap. Your gonna have to be good at metal Fab. Im not sure how the mounts would work either. But here is where you have to ask yourself, is the time and money worth it and here is why:
The engine you have from the 3000gt is a 6g72 3.0l V6. Now in the galant they made two models with this exact engine. I dont see it being cost or time effective to do the swap when you could simply sell yours and get the v6 galant model.

I'm going to lock this thread since the question was already asked in the correct forum by zer0tribe. I think I moved it into that forum too, I don't remember now, I've moved a few into their correct forums.

I even stated the same thing you did John, lol.
OP, one thread like this is enough. You don't need two in different forums.
