my 92 eclipse is tapping after i start it and after it warms up and also its really hard to start when cold it sounds like the fuel pump doesn't kick on after a few several cranks and don't runs really rough then dies sometimes it takes like 20 to 30 minutes to actually start and i just changed the oil so i need some ideas

 

Did these problems start after you changed the oil? If this has been an on going problem, all first generation DSM's have faulty capacitors on the ECM and they end up leaking on to the circuit board. This is fatal to the ECM. Do a google search for this problem and you will find some images of what you are looking for. Open the ECM and see if yours has done the same thing. Start here because it is costs you nothing. I have owned two 1g eclipses and both suffered from this. New ECM prices vary, but once replaced it is like you never had a problem.

 

yea i believe so. also my power steering squeals after i start it but the belt is brand new and its full of power steering fluid
