Fuel Range Indicator not going up

Fuel Range Indicator not going up
I have a 2004 Space Star which I love. I put some diesel in today and the fuel range indicator didn't go up. It is going down as I drive and is now down to 133 km fuel range left even though the tank is nearly half full. Can I reset it? I've tried pressing the disp button and have tried resetting the trip meter but it hasn't made any difference.

The fuel range indicator got down to 27 km left. The tank was still over a quarter full but I put more fuel in at a different place. The pump I used was much faster and I was able to fill up quickly. This reset the the fuel range indidcator.
