Default Gauges

My gauges are done, got all three in my car within one day, up and working and no oil leaking for my oil pressure gauge. i'm getting good oil pressure and i'm boosting at 10 psi in first and holding, and 14 psi in 2,3,4,5 and holding, and i don't have a boost controller and i'm boosting at 14, is that good? i don't know what the person who had it before me did to it.

no 14 psi is too high to be stock. So its either the guage is reading wrong, or you actually have a boost controller. is it a mechanical guage?

something must be messed up cuz stock shouldnt be doing that. Even if the restrictor was removed it wouldnt run that high.

Hmmm, I'm not sure (I'll check on it in a sec), but isn't stock boost for the 2g 12psi-13psi? If so, I would say that the restrictor on the solenoid was removed because that would give back 1psi-2psi.

Just checked, 12psi-14psi is ok for 2G, although, that's high in the sense that the stock bov will leak itself back down to 11-ish psi, lol.
If you really are solid at 14psi, you've lucked out and you have a freak 2g bov, lol.

well i think stock psi on a 2g is acually supposed to be around 9-10psi and with the restrictor removed you get about 12psi. So that is why i was saying i think that 14 psi stock is kinda high.

I have a greddy RS type BOV, would that have any effect? me and my dad tightened down everything and fixed some things in the engine to make it purr better.

all that would do is make it hold boost better. It wont make the car run higher boost than normal. But the way id look at it right now. If you really are running 14psi. Then therre isnt really isnt much to worry about since the car can handle 16psi on stock fuel. So nothing is gonna happen to your car.
