Inhibitor switch?
Hi Guys,
I have a 95 1.8 Lancer GLXi Automatic, very intermittently, when I turn the key to start it, nothing happens. If I move it out of park and then back into park or neutral it starts up a dream, no hint of a dead battery or anything like that. This got me thinkin' it might be the inhibitor switch, what else could it be, starter?
How difficult is it to replace the switch, I located it on top of the tranny, looks like it's just held on by 2 bolts and the transmission control cable? Is there a gasket or anything that needs to be replaced if you take it off?
Any tricks to getting it off?
