Default Lancer revving problem

Hi folks
I have just bought a 2010 lancer with manual shift. I like the car apart from one problem. If i accelerate up to 3 or 4000 rpm, then change up, the revs dont drop between shifts. The revs stay up even when clutch is disengaged and my foot is off the accelerator. In fact sometimes the engine speed even increases a little. After two seconds the revs drop as normal.

What could be causing this lag in engine revs dropping? The car is still under manufacturers warranty, should i be taking it back to mitsubishi?

I like the car. It drives really well apart from this one problem. Other lancers i have driven shifted up through the box nicely without making it look like i cant drive.

Any advice?

Thanks

its called a flywheel.
Double clutch through it or shift earlier. 4k is late unless youre in some gnarly twisty ****.
