Just got a 2015 Outlander and I wanted the OEM trailer hitch. Bought one off of ebay for a big discount, the catch was that the OEM hitch kit was missing the hardware. The part number for the hitch kit is MZ314710. Does anyone have the measurements / rating of the bolts included in this kit? I know it supposed to come with 4 M12 and 6 M8 bolts, but I'd like to know the length / thread / rating of them if possible so I can buy them before disassembling my bumper.
Hoping someone who recently purchased this same item or who works in a mitsu parts dept can help out. Thanks in advance for the help!

 

I dont suppose you got any answers to the M8 bolt length?

 

M8 bolts are 4 of 30mm m8x1.25 and nuts with 8 washers and then 6 of 25mm m8x1.25 with washers. The six bolts hold the towbar crossbar on to the back panel, the 4 hold the towbar crossbar to the side brackets.

 

Thank you for your reply. I probably should have specified, the parts on the end are still bolted on. I just needed the 3 M8 bolts each side where the towbar bolts into the old bumper support spots.

I ended up buying 6x M8 25mm, 6x M8 30mm and 6x M8 40mm just in case. I also bought replacement M12 bolts and all the conical washers as I'd read previously you shouldn't re-use high tensile bolts.
