noob question about dsm turbos
can someone explain to me how you read a dsm turbo?
i just bought a turbo off a 98 gsx for my civic and wanted to know what size it is, what is the smallest to biggest dsm turbo? i know it goes somethin like t25, t28, 16g, 18g,20g, b14,
The "t" in t25&t28 is trim, am i right? well how do you read how big the g and b is? and how big is the flanges on these turbos? are any of them t3's?
is the t25 the smallest? Also is the 1st gen turbo bigger than the 2nd gen? what size is the 1st&2nd gen? and what size turbo comes off an auto 2nd gen gsx? thanks -kyle

You have the sizing order prety much correct except the b14. the b14 is the stock turbo off a 1st gen DSM and i would place it around the t28 in terms of sizing. the stock 2nd gen turbo is a t25, and yup it is the smallest. if that turbo you pulled off the gsx is stock then thats what you have. if your compressor housing is blank more than likely its what you have. all the 'g' turbos say mitsubishi on them, the 16g will say TDo5 and the 20g will say TDo6.
