oil additives

what do you guys think about using additives like stp? are they good or bad for your engine in the long run? or are they affective at all?

they are total snake oil. A complete waste of money.
everything your engine needs is already in the oil you buy.

exactly. I have always been a fan of just getting synthetic oil

Synthetic oil is the only thing you need. Anyone trying to sell you those things are just stealing your money.
