Outlander power seat fuse failing
My car is a UK second generation Outlander year 2012 with a power drivers seat. The seat has stopped working and I checked the 25 amp fuse located below the passenger side storage compartment on the dashboard. The fuse was blown so I replaced it and it immediately failed again, that is with no seat adjustment switch activated. The manual makes ref to the same fuse feeding a foot lamp on both sides of the vehicle with a lamp, timer and switch in the circuit. (manual ref 90-148) My owners manual does not reference these foot lamps anywhere and I can find no such items on the car. Perhaps they are not fitted on my model? Does anyone know where they are located. The only reason I am concerned about the foot lamp coircuit is that it may be the cause of the short circuit.
If not fitted the problem is with the seat circuit alone. Has any one else had a similar problem and found the cause? Thanks for any assistance.
