Default Overheating

Hey everyone, I have a question. I have a 1995 mitsubishi eclipse, non-turbo, 2.0L. It seems to overheat when in idle but when i start to drive it comes down alot but not to normal. Normal is halfway. it comes down near the half mark when you are moving but once you idle the guage goes up near the H. I changed out the thermostat and it still does the same thing. Could it be the water pump, if so how can you tell. could it be the radiator, if so how can you tell. right now i am just running water in it just in case it is leaking. i did have a leak at the theromstat housing but just fixed that but engine still runs to hot, especially at idle. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: Overheating

Sounds more to me like your fans are not working........Check the fan relay to see if it is working properly. If you don't know how to check it just buy a new one they are cheap enough.
