My 96 eclipse GS-T manual can't shift into reverse, does anyone have ANY idea of what could be wrong with my car?
it has no problems shifting from 1st to 5th gear, but it can't shift to reverse. Anyone got any ideas?

 

Ok...try these... when the car is stoped in neutral push the clutch in twice and then try... if that dont work... then put the car in 1st... then reverse. If that dont work then you need to have your reverse gear rebuilt

 

I wouldnt even bother with a rebuild, its about the same price to just buy a tranny from a junk yard, if not cheaper, and easier.
