runs rough on idle when cold

Default runs rough on idle when cold

whats up guys i got a 2000 eclipse that runs rough on idle and when in gear at a stop but goes away once i drive for about 10 minutes. anyone experience this?

is it smoking any? and what does the temp guage read while it is running rough?

well he said it is when the car is just started and for the first ten minutes or something so i am going to guess cold on the temp. I would check with emonz on here cuz he has alot of experience with 3g problems

My car did something similar to this during the cold season.. It's slowing down now that we're going into spring. Even after the car has warmed up, during an idle state the car with sputter and the therm. will go about 1/2 way up. If I give it just a tad bit of gas the problem goes away. Also, my car has had some white smoke out of the pipe since I got it in November 2005.

Not sure if this is the same problem quad is having. I have a 2G as well, not a 3G.

I have the same problem. Had my motor mounts changed, the throttle body cleaned, new wires and spark plugs and my fuel injectors clean. It shakes when I am idle with the break on and when I go in reverse.
I was told by the dealership that it could be the transmission mount! How many mounts does this car have and why do they go bad!
