Without any information, I can only assume you're indeed pushing it.

Thanks for your reply . It towes my trailer very easy . The warning light comes on after 70 km of towing . Telling me to slow down fluid in transmission is hot . 5km before light comes on a whizzing sound can be heard

How heavy is the trailer when you're towing? Which engine are you using? The usual 2.4L is only rated for 1,500 pounds capacity. Sorry I'm not more help. Is it more often when the going gets hilly?

Like I mentioned, it's hard to have a starting point without any information.

Trailer is 1200 kg so it tows to 1600 kg no doesn't matter if it's flat road or hilly same happens . Could the trans belts maybe be slipping when put under extra stress . Cheers

So, you are towing 3,500 pounds, which is a full ton over the 2.4L towing capacity?

This is not adding up - and you are not giving us information to help you - Good luck.
