Wet weather issue
I have a mitsubishi S. 4g15.
I inherited this car in 2002 . with 75k miles on it.
I first could not figure what cause this problem. the problem is that after 3 or 4 days of wet weather tha tthe car will start and drive fine for about a mile. after that it will not accellorate, it is like it has no power after the first mile or 3 minutes of driving. I have replaced the spark plug wirers and distributor cap.
At first I could not figure out if it was a cold weather issue or a wet weather issue. Siunce htan it is definatly a wet weather issue.
It has had thise issue for like 9 years. I (only during wet weather for like 3 days) drive a mile and then have to sit and let it idle for 15 minutes. after that it runs fine?
Suddenly it goes from no power to driving fine, after 10 or 15 minutes. It is like an instant change. no power ( like skippin with only running on 2 of 4 cilindars to running fine.)
I do not drive much in these 9 years the car has only got up to 85k.
Anyone got any idea about this?

Further details: I am pretty sure that it is acting like an old carburated car where the choke stays on too long. Does anyone know what sensor tells the computer the temperature of the engine? The dashboard temperature meter works fine so I am assummig that there is another sensor that tells the computer what temperature that the engine is running at.
