I haven't checked the compression when I turn it over manually I can hear and feel it has compression I will check it, is it possible I have number 1 piston on the exhust stroke? If I remove the timing brlt and turn the crankshaft 360 to the mark again would that put it on the compression stroke, someone told me the marks can be lined up and it can still be "out of phase"? Anyone know if this is correct?

Ok I removed the belt and rotated the crack 360 back to the mark it is crancking better but still wont start, still dragging somewhat, im smelling gas real strong when cranking but no visible fuel leaks, im wondering if the injector seals could be leaking? And could that keep it from starting? Anyone, anyone? ?

Default needs help 00 mitsubishi montero still won't start

Ok update ive removed the timing belt and found the cams were 180 out so I put them back in time and it cranks much better it has spark then I found it had no fuel pressure, so I dropped the tank and replaced the pump now it's getting fuel when cranking but the pressure seems kinda weak still might have a clogged fuel filter, but it still won't start, guys im beating my head against the wall trying to get this truck running, could the fuel pressure regulator keep the truck ftom starting? Please help
