Default [help] Mitsi Galant question.

hey all. Recently I got Galant VR-G 1.8L GDI Tiptronic as a commute car. I noticed that it goes well on 1st and 2nd gear but very slow/lacking torque on 3rd gear? It can barely keep up 80~100km/l (50~60mph) on uphill highway. When I drive up hill: 1st gear maxes out around 30km/h at 4000rpm 2nd gear maxes out around 60km/h at 4000rpm 3rd gear maxes out around 80km/h at 3200rpm (won't reve higher and very slow to get there) I drove Toyota Caldina ZT as a commute car before which has similar spec to this vehicle but I had no problems with it. Galant is actually around 100kg lighter. Is this just how the car is or something wrong with it? Could be the tire size? It's 2mm smaller than stock. Maybe I should get a bigger or smaller tire? Currently everything is stock. The car has no problem on flat road. It's just super slow (compare to other cars with equiv spec) on uphill. Thanks.

Hi there, i have a Galant Viento GDI and its the same by the sound if it. supposed to be 125hp but its a real slug. ive had the car for years and the only thing that lets it down is the torque. i use it a lot for towing my dirt bike ad that is pretty painful too. even on the flat im dropping back into third to wind it up a bit. been looking for the posibility of reflashing the ecu or adding a chip to get a better fuel map for a better spread of power. very little information about though
