Angry 12 volt outlets in 2018 outlander not active

Hello! I was told today that Mitsubishi does not manufacture cars with the ability to have the 12 volt outlets active when the car is turned off.
This seems ridiculous to me and another reason I'd never buy another Mitsu.
Is this true? Can an auto mechanic not just add a wire or redirect a wire? Mitsu says it's not possible, but my service outlet counter guys don't seem to have a clue about much except taking in vehicle for regular $ervice.
Help! Tell me this isn't true...
T
Thank you!

If not Mitsu, what other maker(s) in your opinion will include a permanently active 12V socket in a modern car?

The reason why official Mitsu (or any other maker!) don't want to do that is because they take no responsibility if the battery will be drained/discharged to 0V or even cause a fire by your 3rd party electrical appliances. Installing a special protecting circuits and regulators is possible but will cost more, much more!

In my Outlander 2.2DiD from 2013 it is true and that's why I've installed a separate 12V socket + additional USB charging socket. I had to install a separate wiring+fuse to the battery as well as drill the hole in the firewall on the passenger side. Yes, some efforts, but it worked for my special needs. I needed more than 10A power so that was another reason to have a separate wire and fuse.
