I am in the process of changing CVT fluid in my 2008 Outlander 2.4L, Odometer read 98000 Km. Mitsubishi Manual specify J1 but dealer say J4 is OK.
My question :
Is J1 & J4 fluid interchangeable;has filter assembly P/No 2824A006 need be replaced at the same time? Dealer's Mitsubishi trained mechanics is not aware there is this filter unit.
Pointers from members would be appreciated before I send vehicle for service.
