Default 6 or 7 bolt??

My son bought a new block and new heads with all the pistons. rings, rods...etc (no oil pan/pumps..etc). I'm selling the motor for him and have been asked if it's 6 or 7 bolt. How can I tell?? Other places I've looked for this info refer to checking the oil pan which it doesn;t have.

Thanks,
John

Do you have the transmission off? Because if it is you can just check the bolts on the flywheel (the # of bolts is the motor). But what year is the engine from?

But here is the oil pan thing
