Default 98 Eclipse/no heat

I'm helping someone get some heat so she can drive her car.

I have checked the controls by moving the ***** and I can hear the doors moving , air being re-directed,and air speed increase, but very little heat!

She recently got the radator flushed and new anti-freeze, sence her radator does not have a cap how do you check for circulation of the cooling system?

My best guess is feel both hose's when car is at operating temp.

The heater hose's I have not checked yet, but I have found them on the firewall. There hard to get to, but I can get a laser temp gun on them next time I see here.

My question is: do these cars have a coolant shut-off valve for summer time operation? We have no book for her car! Coulden't find anything online!

Thanks Denny

I let the car warm up all the way and used the lazer temp gun on the heater hose's! the flow going to the heater core shot 220 degreese, the return shot 156 degrees. Still no heat in the car. I have no idea how much flow there is!

Now I notice that the Cooling fan does not come on!

We got the cooling fan working again, we have a drain somwhere in the system drawing 2 amps, disconnected the fue's going to rear defogger and interior lights! Fan now come's on when it should.

Looking for information about the location of the heater box controls and there locations under the dash , so I can watch them work! Any help on this?

Default 2001 eclipse/no heat

Basically when I start up the car and turn on the heat, it will only start blowing at the highest setting and it makes this terrible noise throughout the car.
it's not even blowing heat

I don't know if maybe taking the glove box out and trying to see of there's stuff in there would work?
I don't even know how to take out the glove box

it's so cold here and I have a baby on the way
I just wanna get this heat going before she's here

any idea/help would be great
