Hello, I will start by saying that I am not a 4 cyl. guy. I am here to hopefully get an answer as to what this is. I am bidding on a storage auction next week that has a motor in it. I think its a Vtec or Mitsubishi of some kind and looks to be built. There is plastic over it and it makes it hard to see. Maybe the oil pan in the pics will help? If you do know what it is then could you give me an idea of value? Thank you!

It'll be hard to determine what engine it is without seeing more detail. Even then, without the valve cover unless you happen to find someone that is intimately familiar with engines or that specific engine, you likely won't be able to tell. Once you have it (if you win the auction), there should be a stamping somewhere on the block that will tell you though.
