can't identify my car
Last weekend, I went around some car yards hunting for my first car. I found a tidy 95 Mitsi Lancer GSR Coupe at a reasonable price, so after a test drive, I decided to buy it.
I mentioned to a friend of mine, who is far more knowledgable when it comes to cars than me, what the car was. He was absolutely convinced that it was a turbo because it was a GSR. I showed him the car and after a quick glance under the hood, it became apparant that it was not turbo after all.
Intrigued, I googled it in the hope I could find some details on it, but nothing came up - my car didn't exist! So, what I was hoping someone could help me with is establishing what type of car it is once and for all.
Its a 1.8i dohc if that helps.
Thanks in advance.

it's possible the motor had been replaced somewhere down the line with a non-turbo.
The high-performance, turbocharged GSR version formed the basis of the contemporary Lancer Evolution

yea thats a mirage... well what we in the US get here as a Mirage. Over seas I guess its still called a lancer. So note to self there is a difference to Lancer GSR and Lancer Evo GSR. Didnt know the Lancer GSR ever existed other than in Evo form
