Car sticking in gear - Help!
Bought my 2010 Outlander new and I have 29,000 miles on it. Most of my driving is city, but on several occasions - especially on the turnpike, when I have done a higher speed (65-75 mph) for an extended period of time and then come to a quick stop, the car appears to stay caught in high gear and drags horribly when starting back up again. This has now happened about 4 times in the last year.
I had it to the dealer the first time it happened and they said no codes had gone off. Yesterday, I am trying to pull back onto the turnpike from the side of the highway and was scared to death. Literally had the gas pedal floored and it would only crawl. After keeping the pedal compressed for at least a solid minute, it started to pick up speed and move. I am scared to death I'm going to get killed.
Will be calling dealer again this morning, but looking for any help I can get in case I get the same run around. Thanks,
