HELP!!! CRACKS on my ride
wazap people, i have a problem wi my ridez front bumper,, the bumper has few scratchez and cracks as visible in the attachments,,, the crackz are long n the paint is off em too,, is there any paste that i could apply on it n could solve the problem OR do i hav to repaint the bumper ? can any one help me wi this problem ?
The first picture indicates that something hit you. Cracks like that are usually caused by impact. The second picture is showing the clearcoat is starting to chip or peel. Use a little 800 grit wet sand paper, then mask and apply new clearcoat.
This is exactly why i hate bodykits.. and i tell people NOT to get them.
Also it looks like you drive like **** to cause that kind of damage.
You should never repair fiberglass that has cracked all the way through. If its not.. you have to get the bumper stripped .. re glassed and re gel coated.. costing a **** load.. not to mention repainted.

get a urethane body kit if you must have one.
They are made of the same basic stuff oem's use, and are far easier to paint, keep nice, and install
Urethane generally doesnt crack (unless you hit something really hard) Generally doesnt chip (unless you hit somthing really hard)
and most always keeps its shape (something that cant be said for fiberglass)
my advice to you sir,
scrap the one you got and move on. Spend the money where it counts and you wont have to re-buy later
