what can i cut off my stock 95 eclipse muffler to make more horse power and sound cool?

 

the catilatic converter, although then it becomes illigal, but what cops dont know, cant hurt them

 

Just gut out the cat so that way it's there visually but you get the power and noise...Just take a little cash and get yourself a high flow cat and a cat back system if you're looking to go the cheaper way of doing it...A little power, noise, and coolness is what you'll gain with a system like that and it's the more sensible way of doing it too...I'm putting a 3 inch exhaust on my Eclipse the whole way back. $$$

 

Gutting out the cat isn't a good idea IMO... its a bigger diameter than the piping itself so when air enters it, it becomes turbulent... causing uneven flow which = problems. Just put the money away to get a high flow system (cat, cat back, and downpipe if Turbo)
