Well the only thing that MAYBE could happen is....since the turbo has to work harder its going to end up pulling in more CFM. This could cause the car to prematurely fuel cut. Most likely it should be fine, just read what I posted.

Eh, you'll definitely know when/if you've hit fuel cut... The car bucks terribly and you think you blew your motor from the ruckus! If you have a leak in your intercooler piping or the core itself your turbo should or is working it's *** off (being overstressed) if you're flooring it so be careful. With the size intercooler you mentioned you won't even really notice a pressure drop per se, it'll take a lil' tiny bit longer to spool but the benefits outweigh the cons even on a stock turbo.

I'm looking to buy a FMIC myself. I've still got the small stock IC on my 97 GST Eclipse. What company should I look into? I kinda want GReddy.
I'm a consumer *****. haha [sm=guilty.gif]

if u wanna go cheap just buy a universal intercooler and then buy the universal piping that should be about 300 dollars. If you have the money www.stillen.com they have good kits that pervents you from removing the powersteering cooler.
