Default Normal mitsu plant layoffs

FYI

Yesterday, the Normal IL mitsu plant announced the layoff of second shift workers. They are trying to streamline production. In doing so they have decided to move production to a single shift only. around 1200 employees are in the layoff. But they have not yet announced when the layoffs will occur nor what kind of severance will be included.

This is after the company saying monday that they wernt going to lay anybody off.... Lot of pissed off people around here...

i feel sorry for all the workers, but more sorry for all the little towns that the plant supports. There are a couple of little towns around there housing a majority of dsm workers...
