Oil light flickering

Oil light flickering
I own a mitsubishi eclipse gs 2001. 2.4. I just bought the car with 113,050 miles. The car runs well till after it is warmed up. When I come to a stop the oil light will flicker. Any electrical item will set it off. example: press break, use windows or blinkers. once I rev the engine or stop using electricity the light goes away. Only happens when engine is warm. Has full oil in it. Wondering if this is a pressure issue from having to increase power or a shortage somewhere in the electric area of the car.

With your decscription the first suspect would be a battery with a bad/weak cell(s). Usually they will go quickly but sometimes not. If you have a voltmeter (VOM) check the voltage across the battery terminals with the car not running. If it's below 12V or even 12.5 volts the battery is bad. With the car running you should see around 13.8 volts at the battery showing that the alternator is doing it's job.
I also own a 2001 GS Eclipse 2.4L but it's the Spyder convertible.

It might be the battery since it has so many miles. I will look into it. But I forgot to mention there is a small knocking as well. But that might have been from draining some of the oil out. Whom ever owned the car last put too much in.

Knocking might just be the gas. Even though it's not needed I put premium in my GS Spyder. Only the GT models actually ask for the higher octane and have the compression ratio to take full advantage of it but give it a try.
This is a great forum and I've learned alot from others who even proved me wrong on things. I'm a weekend tinkerer who just tries to save some money for my family by doing things myself.
Let me know how things work out after the holiday. My best to your family.

SMH-check your oil pressure signal make sure it isnt tapping against a hot wire.-or no little cuts are present. Yes a bad ground can do it, but always look at common places I mean ive had a Optima Yellowtop for 4 yrs still not dead
