Flickering lights and Power

Flickering lights and Power
While i drive, and my subs hit with bass, the lights in and out of my car flash and i occasionally loser power to my radio and most if not all of my car. it stops if i take my head unit off so the radio stays off, it seems like there could be a loose terminal on my battery, and there is maybe 8 things hooked up to the positive side of my battery. any input is welcomed.

well i just fixed the terminal and tightened everything down nicely, the bitch dont move now. =] but when the subs hit it still dims the gauges and headlights, but i have not yet driven it so im not sure if i lose power still, im hoping that solved my problems, maybe a new battery and/or alternator is in the near future?

RE: Flickering lights and Power
i believe that i need a bass capacitor, i was told this by multiple sources, it will hook up to my subs and charge up power for when they hit. when the subs hit, the power from the capacitor will be sent to the subs when they need to hit, reliving the power drain on the battery from my subs hitting. i will reply again when i install the 2 12s with a bass capacitor.

Well guys. IVe done much work to my system and its finally complete. I installed all new wiring, gold plated connecters, 2 pioneer 800 watt amps, and 2 directed audio 12s with a 1 farad capacitor. after hours of work, everything works great. all custom installed by myself, looks and works great, if soembody could make me a signature with this pic i have of it, that would be great.

Sounds to me like you're in need of a big 3 upgrade. there's a nice write up on the12volt's forum on how to do it, and it will for sure help with the dimming, and also make the car run better from an electrical standpoint.
