Angry Overheating Issues. PLEASE HELP!!

Hi Pplz,
I am a new user here and need help ASAP!
My 2002 Mit Galant over heated about 2 weeks ago and I blew the head gasket! I had a mechanic take the head to a machine shop, got a new radiator, thermostat etc. The mechanic cut the spring on the thermostat so it stays open. My Car is STILL overheating!! All the mechanic tells me is that the engine is hurt...WHATEVER!!
What can be causing this?! Its my only transportation and I need to get this fixed.

It doesnt over heat...I dont give it time to. As soon as I see it reaching the "H" I turn the car off. I did notice that the new radiator has this rusty color substance. Was I suppose to change the hoses? Can it be the pistons?
