PLEASE HELP advice needed
Hi, please forgive me if I'm not doing this right or I'm not in the right spot.. I'm completely new to all this and forums in general.
I have a 1995 Mitsubishi Starwagon GL with an automatic transmission.
I've got a few problems with it and have received conflicting advice from a few friends, none of which really know about cars. I really just want a rough idea of what could be wrong and how serious it is before I go to the mechanic or auto electrician. I don't even know which one to go to lol. I just dot want to be ripped off and if its too serious I'll just buy a new car but I really like this one
Ok so here is what's up:
* 'clunks' when changing from park to drive
* occasionally stalls in reverse
* left indicator sometimes doesn't work but wipers come on
* possible delay in acceleration when taking off
* big delay when transmission changes from 2nd to 3rd (or possibly 1st to 2nd) which is helped when you briefly take foot off accelerator - gear will usually change then)
NOTE: has recently had reconditioned short motor put in. Had loose wire to alternator (possibly bumped). Wires fixed then car blew alternator fuse which has been fixed also.
I know this is a painful post but any help is appreciated
