yeah i took mine out and the only thing i gained was muscle on my forearms put that **** back in. the only reason i had mine out was because it was making this horrible noise and i had to ride around like that for a week so the other one could get to my house.

I didnt remove it. I had no power steering on the car before my eclipse and I didnt think it was that bad so I was thinking about doing it to my eclipse

The biggest thing is what was stated in the first reply or so. RACK AND PINION You wil ahve to change the whole steering system. A power steering setup is mostly lubricated by the fluid flowing through the PS rack. REmoving that you now have no continuous lubrication at all. Thus causing the deterioration of the rack and eventual locking up of your steering system. For a short term beater car yeah it's fine to drive the **** outta it with the PS system gone or fluidless. But not in something you want to perform and or plan on keeping for a while.
